Ardmore supports Action Plan for Jobs

26th February 2015

Ardmore Studio’s has welcomed the news that the Action for Jobs Report 2015 specifically cites the film and TV production industry as a potential source of new job creation and an expert group is being established to examine the shortage of full serviced studio space in Ireland.

Siún Ní Raghallaigh, CEO stated that the inclusion of a high level expert committee to examine and make recommendations to increase studio infrastructure was acknowledgement of the potential of the sector to achieve growth and create more jobs.

According to Ms Ní Raghallaigh, the speedy turnaround for the recommendations from this Government Committee of Q1 2015 is vitally important and to be welcomed as the lack of sufficient full serviced studio space is currently resulting in Ireland having to turn away lucrative film and television business.

“Studios are the essential enablers for the industry to scale up and to build the scale needed by the industry requires immediate investment,” says Ms Ní Raghallaigh.
