JUNE '2010 | CAMELOT BEGINS PRODUCTION AT ARDMORE STUDIOS

Historical drama series Camelot begins 22 weeks of shooting at Ardmore Studios this month. The ten part series has been created by The Tudors' Michael Hirst and is written by Chris Chibnall.

The international cast features Joseph Fiennes, Eva Green, Jamie Campbell Bower, Tamsin Egerton, Claire Forlani and Peter Mooney.

Academy Award® winning producer Graham King (The Tourist, The Departed) along with Tim Headington and newly appointed GK-TV President Craig Cegielski will serve as Executive Producers on Camelot, additional Executive Producers include Morgan O’Sullivan (The Count of Monte Cristo, The Tudors) and James Flynn of the Irish production company Octagon, Michael Hirst (The Tudors) and Douglas Rae (Nowhere Boy, Becoming Jane) of UK’s Ecosse Films.

Filmed at Ardmore Studios, The Tudors picked up more honours at this year's Irish Film & Television Awards this month with Sarah Bolger winning the IFTA for Actress in a Supporting Role for her performance as Mary Tudor in the historical drama.


JUNE '2009 | FINAL SERIES OF THE TUDORS IN PRODUCTION AT ARDMORE

The fourth and final series of The Tudors began production at Ardmore Studios this month. Morgan O’Sullivan returns as executive producer, with Dearbhla Walsh (Little Dorrit), IFTA winner Ciaran Donnelly and Jeremy Podewsa (Fugitive Pieces) directing.

Ten episodes have been commissioned for the series which carries a budget of €20 million. Written by Michael Hirst, crew includes DOP Ousam Rawi and IFTA and Emmy winning costume designer Joan Bergin returning to work alongside Production Designer Tom Conroy. Editing will take place in Canada. The shoot is anticipated to last six months.


MARCH '09 | LEAP YEAR IN PRODUCTION AT ARDMORE STUDIOS

Filming for the romantic comedy Leap Year is now underway at Ardmore Studios. Starring Amy Adams and Matthew Goode, the film will be directed by Anand Tucker. Irish production company World 2000 Entertainment is co-producing with Spyglass Entertainment.

Morgan O’Sullivan and James Flynn, producers behind features such as King Arthur, P.S. I Love You and Becoming Jane, which also filmed at Ardmore.


FEB '09 | TUDORS WINS SIX IFTA AWARDS

The Tudors won big this year at the 6th Annual Irish Film & Televsion Awards taking six IFTAs for the second series. The drama picked up the IFTAs for; Best Drama Series / Soap, Best Director Television for Ciaran Donnelly; Best Costume Design for Joan Bergin, Best Supporting Actor and Best Supporting Actor for Maria Doyle Kennedy and Peter O'Toole; and Best Make Up and Hair.
